Collection Review

Blogger extraordinaire and mum of two, Karen AKA Travel Mad Mum reviews our 2020 collection!

Hey, my name is Karen, mum to two travel tots Esme and Quinn. I also own travelmadmum.com where I share my top tips for making travel easier with kids, as well as destination guides for families.  We are adventurists at heart so tend to travel to off the beaten track destinations with our little ones.

If I were to share my best tips for travelling with little ones, I’d say remember the acronym S.A.S. It stands for snacks, activities and sleep aids. If you have these three things sorted, you will be sure to keep your little ones happy and content on the journey!

For the most part, parents who loved to travel pre-kids are scared of upsetting routines or having to deal with tears on a plane in front of strangers.  I’m here to say your travel days don’t need to be over once you have kids.  It’s all about incorporating little ones into your way of life and for us it is fabulous to see our kiddies turning into mini adventurists.

We are all lovers of the water, whether we are surfing or snorkelling or chilling in the swimming pool, it’s our kids favourite place to hang! Since we spend a lot of time in the water, we love all things swimwear so we are delighted to review Sunuva’s newest collection.

  1. Girls Pink Aloha Fruit Glitter Trim Swimsuit
  2. Girls Pink Aloha Wrap Around Tankini
  3. Girls White Neon Block Print Bell Dress

I just love pops of colour and the patterns the most, especially on the Girls Peruvian Stitch Rash Vest. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful neon pattern on the chest balanced with crisp whites. We travelled in South America last year and I absolutely loved the patterns of the local textiles and clothing. This new collection reminded me of those beautiful designs updated with a completely different colour palette.

  1. Girls White Neon Peruvian Stitch Long Sleeve Rash Vest
  2. Boys Navy Sunuva Stripe Long Sleeve Rash Vest

The quality of products is fantastic, you can tell the fabrics are well made, they are thick, and the stitching is really good.  It’s the first time we’ve used rash vests for our kids and I am loving that it’s slightly less of a worry when it comes to sun cream.

  1. Womens Light Grey Embellished Boho Dress
  2. Boys Navy Sunuva Stripe Swim Trunks
  3. Mens Blue Stripe Seekersucker Swim Shorts

The sizes have been perfect for both adults and kids, something that I am particularly grateful for! As a mum who hasn’t shaken my baby weight yet, it’s good not to have to squeeze into something that is my true size. I also love the light blue pin striped shorts for the boys and daddy has matching ones too, I mean who doesn’t love matching with a mini-me, right?

I would 100% recommend Sunuva to my friends, especially if they are looking for stylish practical swimwear and beachwear!
