KICK OFF YOUR JANUARY WITH LIZ EARLE’S HEALTHY SMOOTHIES

Spring green
This makes a cleansing and clean-tasting juice.
l 2 handfuls of greens (spring
greens, spinach, etc)
l 1 handful of parsley
l Squeeze of lemon
l 1 stalk celery
l 1 green apple
l 1cm cube of ginger
Juice all the ingredients together,
making sure to pack in the knob
of ginger and green leaves
between the apple chunks to help
push them through the juicer and
maximise juice extraction

Tropical green
This has an unusually sweet
and refreshing taste.
l . pineapple, peeled and
chopped
l 2 handfuls of spinach
l 5 mint leaves
l 1 lime
l 4cm cucumber
l 1 tsp baobab powder (optional)
Add all the ingredients into
a juicer, making sure you wrap
the mint leaves around the
pineapple chunks to help them
through the juicer.

Autumn smoothie
The ultimate way to kickstart
an autumn morning,
this nutty breakfast
smoothie is bursting with
vitamins and nutrients to
send you off into the day
glowing and full of energy
2 apples
1 raw beetroot
1cm piece fresh ginger root, peeled
1 banana
3 dates
1 cup almond milk
Core and chop up the apple. Wash,
scrub and chop up the raw beetroot.
Add the apple, beetroot and ginger
to a blender, along with the peeled
banana, dates and almond milk. Blitz
until smooth.
