First up, what’s your favourite beach?

I've been to some amazing beaches over the years but travelling around Greece two years ago in summer was really special. There are some beautiful beaches, with my favourite two being Lefkada and Zakynthos.

What makes the perfect getaway for the whole family?

Our perfect getaway has to be a skiing holidays in Zermatt, with our family and special friends. It is a great time for lots of family bonding, plenty of skiing and eating lots of lovely food.

Where is the most kid-friendly destination you’ve visited?

It has to be Israel. Whenever we go there my kids always say it's the best holiday ever. I think it has something to do with fact that there is so much to do and see. And everything is geared up for kids. No one ever turns their nose up at you wheeling a double buggy into the coolest, trendy restaurant in town!

Which 3 words best describe your holiday style?

Cool, stylish and relaxed. One of my favourite things about being on holiday is just enjoying carefree days and then having a little time to dress up in the evening. I always keep my hair and makeup more natural on holiday and will usually wear a Bernshaw maxi dress to a restaurant with strappy sandals.

Any tips for keeping kids happy on the plane?

In every mother’s ideal world the answer would be a good book...but in reality it has to be any form of electronic equipment! Or perhaps a good movie! Mind you saying that, my eight year old loves puzzle books with dot-to-dot, word searches and he can also spend hours colouring in.

What small things would you be lost without on holiday?

Has to be a big pair of sunglasses. And a couple of shorter crease resistant dresses – I wore my Bernshaw Rainbow Dress a few times last holiday because it is just so easy to wear and is super lightweight to pack.

Do you read while you’re away and if so, what’s on your reading list?

I love to read on holiday, in fact it is the only time I really get to catch up on some great books. On my list is The Rose Girls by Victoria Connelly, Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult and the Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. They will all be downloaded on my kindle ready for my summer holiday!

What holiday sticks in your mind as truly special?

Every holiday spent with my family and friends is truly magical and holds a special place in my heart.

Finally, when you get home, what are the signs that you’ve been on a successful trip?

I always come back from holiday feeling really energised and inspired to get back into designing the next collection – it is so beneficial to take time out to reflect. But most of all I make sure I appreciate the wonderful memories and quality time spent together as a family. There’s lots of laughter as we reminisce about all the funny jokes and stories of the trip.
