What is your favourite beach?
My favourite beach is any in The Andaman Islands. I love the beaches on Formentera too.
What is your idea of the perfect holiday?
The perfect holiday would be with my family, somewhere where we can all chill out and relax, and also explore and have fun. I like a mix of both.
Where was your first family holiday with kids?
Tuscany when the twins were eight months. We literally got mobbed everywhere we went!! Italians love kids, but they think twins are a blessing from God and we were treated like celebrities! It was hilarious!
How do you keep looking chic on holiday?
I’m not sure I do to be honest! I’m very casual and a bit hippie on holiday. I live in denim cut-off shorts with pretty blouses/tops and hippie style embroidered dresses and sandals or flip-flops. I keep things pretty low key. For me it’s not about busting a look on holiday - I want to feel comfortable and relaxed.
What are your tops tips for surviving a long haul flight with your kids?
Sticker books, healthy (ish) snacks (the longer the flight, the unhealthier they get), a few new books that they haven’t seen, and a couple of fun, but educational apps on my iPhone (for if/when things get really bad). Plus their favourite soft toys of course.
What do you always have in your hand luggage?
A pashmina that doubles up as a blanket if it gets chilly on the plane, a good book, a huge bottle of water, decent headphones, a notebook and a Snickers (I never travel without one!).
What did you read on your last holiday?
I managed to read two books, which was amazing as I’ve barely looked at a book since I had the twins. ‘Life' by Keith Richards and 'Just Kids’ by Patti Smith. Both of which had been sitting on my bedside table for over a year before we went…
What are your beach bag must haves?
High factor sunscreen, lightweight towels (I love those Haman Towel Company ones); a hippie-style beach cover-up; a cosy cashmere jumper/cardigan for when the sun sets; a good book (just in case you get the chance) and sunglasses.
